I went to Qinghuangdao and watched the Azzurrini's match against South Korea last night. It was a fantastic game and an incredible experience. There're quite a few Chinese Azzurri fans there. But we're sadly out numbered by the Koreans. Damn, they were loud! When the score became 2:0, they were finally quieter, and when its 3:0, they started to leave....hehehehehhe...All the Azzurri fans there were like brothers and sisters. Whenever we saw somebody wearing the blue shirt, we wave at each other with pure joy. Its such a shame I didnt bring a camera. But the good news is that I'm going to the next match of the Azzurrini on Wednesday. I will try to remember to bring a camera then.

Everybody's got have footie dreams once in a while...but I just had them two nights in a row! I wonder what causes this phenomenon. Is it because my somewhat troubled private life and unsettling mind? No idea, but there they are:
I dont know why or where Sandro's hiding all summer. Dont they have tons of paps in Miami? He sure visited me two nights ago! My company opened a new branch in Miami and I was on a business trip there. In a meeting with colleagues working in Miami, the manager there said to his assistant: "Tell the front desk guy to speak English. Although this is Miami, its still America. That X language of his wont fly." For some reason, I didnt see the guy in question on the first day. The next morning, I heard somebody singing at the receptionist area. I went to see what kind of an interesting person this non-English speaking receptionist is. I spotted a shirtless guy in his boxers, singing in what must be Italian. "Sandro?" I pretended not to be star struck, unsuccessfully. "Hey, you know me?" As he said so, he came over and lifted me up in the air like a father'd do to his son. He's got the height and width like a NBA player but a really small head. The worst part is, he's sporting his Lazio hair from the 98 or earlier. I thought to myself, geeeez, you sure look much more proportionally and more beautiful on TV and in pictures! And I almost asked him "Did you get a haircut? That looks horrible." Seeing how happy he is, I refrained myself from bringing this up. He went on saying: "I just love this job as a receptionist. I'm just doing it for summer internship tho." I replied, "Yeah, you could consider having it as a full time job after you retire from football." Oh yes Sandro, come work as a topless receptionist at my company.....
And last night, I was back at school. Who are some of my teachers? Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos. Ramos is the "cool" teacher who hangs out with students and everybody loves him. Iker, on the other hand, is a geeky teacher who's pimping his chemical elements and formulas all the time. Knowing the kind of dork Iker is, I intentionally showed him all my formal dresses and asked for his opinion which one I should wear on the prom date with my boyfriend. Iker just glanced at my treasures and went back to his chemistry. During one of Iker's classes, my father popped his head through the classroom door: "Nan, Casillas is your teacher? Casillas?" "Yes, dad. AND Sergio Ramos. They're both my teachers."
Hmmm....lets see what I'll come up with in my sleep tonight....that Zlatan is my twin brother?

Is it just me, or did I see Adriano Galliani in the stands for Superbowl? Maybe its what lack of sleep did to me, but that baldie sitting right in front of Peyton Manning looks just like Galliani.
Such a surprise that the Giants win. They played a good game and they deserved it. Now when will we see a Manning vs. Manning Superbowl? It seems very possible in the near future...

First of all, it has been so long I updated. I've been around, but I just didnt have time to post or comment on my flist's awesome entries. Sorry flist. I with you all a very happy holiday season.
In the spirit of Christmas and the popular elfing yourself, I made one this afternoon, Paolo, Sandro and Ricky are dancing alongside with me! YAY!
Greetings from Paolo, Nan, Ricky, and Sandro!
And how excited I am about the following: One of my close friends from the U.S. Marc has recently moved to Miami. When I heard it from a mutual friend several days ago, I got goosebumps by merely hearing "Miami". well, Marc emailed me today, informing me that he's moved to South Beach, Miami, and is planning to open a restaurant there. He said I should go visit and I'd like the place coz there're plenty of Italian men in the area.
SOUTH BEACH, MIAMI! Does this ring the bell? And a restaurant! hmmm...what are the chances of Paolo and Sandro walking into his future restaurant? I told him this is the best decision he's ever made in his entire life! I want to go visit him RIGHT NOW! Then I realized I just had a week of vacation couple of weeks before, and my boss would kill me if I take another one now. But OMG, I am definitely visiting him next year and please, I pray to all holy things: let me run into Paolo and Sandro! Marc's definitely gonna laugh at me when he got my reply because I attached Paolo and Sandro's pictures and asked him to stalk them watch out for them....
South Beach, Miami, I WILL BE THERE! well, next year...

To say I'm stunned and outraged would be the understatement of the lifetime. Michigan lost to WHOM? I have never heard of, or could ever spell Appalachian State until today. We're ranked No. 5 in the nation! How the fuck did we lose to a Division I-AA team at home in front of some 110,000 fans? No, not a Division II team, Division I-AA! Please fucking explain to me how the hell our defense managed to make a Division I-AA Quarterback look like Vince Young! The biggest upset in college football history, you bet! A Division I-AA team has never beaten a ranked team, let alone a top 5 team. This is like the Azzurri losing to, say, Thailand.
This is downright disgusting and pathetic. Now I dont think there'd be any better spokeman for Adidas--Impossible is Nothing--than the entire squad of Appalachian State. Un-fuckin-believable....

OH HA! My picture appeared on the newspaper yesterday! The one when I was waiting outside the hotel for Baggio.
But today, things got A LOT BETTER! A LOT! I attended a Baggio event this morning. Again, I was lucky enough to be in the front row. I took a good look at Roby for a few minutes while he's on the stage speaking. This time, I took some pictures!
Right after the event, I got interviewed by journalists from BTV-6 (Beijing Television Sports Channel). It went down like this. Journalist: What're you thinking? How are you feeling? Me: Its a dream become true. I've been admiring Baggio for 13 years, and not even for a second I imagined that I could be this close to him. Journalist: 13 years of love! Do you think Baggio's different from when you see him playing football on TV? Me: Well yes. When I watch him play football on TV, whether in Serie A or international games, he's so perfect and afar that makes him an almost-semi-god figure. Now when I see him in person, he's very real. And the way he treated fans is really shy but nice. I think he's a extremely nice and accessible person. Journalist: Is this why you like Baggio? Me: Its part of the reason. Jouanlist: And the other reasons? Me: His outstanding football skills, his unique character, and his determination. Journalist: Many people want Baggio to coach the Chinese national soccer team one day. What is your opinion? Me: Well, the problems in Chinese soccer cannot be solved with one or two excellent coaches. Its the entire system we need to look at. For me, either Baggio or Chinese Soccer Federation has to assess the situation well and make a wise decision. Journalist: Thank you. Me: So when am I gonna be on TV?
Ha, they told me I'm gonna be on TV tonight! WOOOHOOOO!
Now some multi-media stuff. Some pictures were taken from my camera, some are not.

I have never imagined, not even in my dreams, as weird and far-fetched as my dreams might be, that in this life time, I'd be less than 10 yards away from the hero of my life. And today, it really happened! It was not a dream. I was there! Baggio was there! 10 yards from me at the most!
Baggio arrived in Beijing for a leisure trip this morning. I went to the hotel he's staying and waited there. I was very lucky to stand in the front row of fans. The organizers taught us a few phrases. "Benvenuti" "Roby Baggio ole' ole'" that kind of stuff. Why even bother because as soon as Roby got off the car, all you can hear is cheering and screaming. He turned and started walking to the fans. At the moment I forgot all the languages that I can speak, and the only word I could utter, no, SCREAM, is "BAGGIO". Unfortunately, the guards held him back and escorted him into the hotel only seconds after he started walking to us, because...uh...we're over enthusiastic? Nevertheless, oh he was SOOOO close to me! He even looked at my direction although his mystic eyes were hidden behind a pair of not so flattering shades.
Some funny stuff: the girl next to me lives in another city. She took 3 days off to travel here just for this opportunity to meet Roby. One girl was so excited to see Baggio in person, so much so that she broke down in tears right after Baggio got into the hotel. While we're all standing and waiting, some guy started screaming on the phone: "Baggio's here! OMG Baggio's here!" We looked at the empty front gate of the hotel, all confused, only to hear the guy continue: "He's here! He just got off the plane!"
The biggest regret is that I did not take one picture of Roby. Well, I attempted to take more than one, but my hands were shaking so badly I took a good amount of pictures for cars and journalists.
I might come back with updates as people there who did succeed in taking pictures send their pictures to me. For now, let me continue to sit in my office trying to calm down....

I'm amazed by my ability to produce whacked out dreams. Here's what I had last night: my friend and I were at a coffee shop at the airport. We were looking around then I shouted out: "OMG! Totti and Bobo!" My friend was like, "who?" while I was looking for something for autograph. I did not have anything so I shouted at one of our new hires, "pass me your evaluation sheet!" Nobody seems to recognize them, thats why they spent quite some time signing autographs for me. Fra drew some picture with flowers and butterflies with his autograph. Bobo asked me, "Do you love Madonna?" I was like, "Sure? I like her, alright." Bobo: "No, are you in love with Madonna?" "No! Why would I be in love with her?" Then he wrote down "It'd be an interesting event if you go on a date with Madonna."
My friend didnt seem to know who they are but she thought they're attractive men. "How old are you two? 24, 25?" Before they answered, I jumped in "Francesco is 31, Bobo's older, 33, 34ish." To which Bobo reponsded: "Yea, and I, and I..." Who the heck is I, I asked myself, then suddenly the answer popped up "Bobo, you meant Pippo!" "Yes, I call Pippo I. " Just when I was touched by the tight knit between him and Pippo, my flight is parting, so was Bobo's. I went to say bye to Fra before heading to security check. Fra mumbles something I dont understand. "I dont know what I'm talking about." he added. "Its okay, Fra, thats what you're known for." This made Fra laugh and said "you're cool!"
I was going back to my hometown and Bobo's going to Milan. After I parted with Bobo, I was sure thats a dream. I hit the wall with my fist, it hurt; I called my dad, he answered the phone--everything is normal. Oh its TRUE! I was exhilarated until, of course, I woke up in the morning.
And now I'm sitting in my office being grouchy and cranky as usual...

YAY for Iraq to win the Asia Cup! Although I dont want to see Blatter in here whatsoever! Get the f**k out of the medal presenation, Blatter! What can I say, I'm just so happy for Iraq to win anything considering what their country is going through! And can I say, thank you Iraq for beating S. Korea??? Because, call me a btch or whatever, I'm still not over the brutal scenes in WC 2002...
and I've had yet another weird dream last night--Chris became my big brother (huh?), and we ate out at a restaurant (no surprise coz we did it 3 times this week). But guess who's the waiter there--my poor dear Sandro! The worst part is that his face is covered with pimples! NOOOOO! I wanted to slap myself when I woke up! ARGH....my SANDRO! I'm sorry!

Here's a game taken from practically everyone. But I think its originally from marthacalcio. I'm playing this 5 days after everybody else has done it.
Rules: 1. Bold the names of guys you'd definitely shag. 2. Possibly shag after a little persuasion, put in italics. 3. Leave the ones you don't know of or wouldn't want to shag alone. 4. Strike the ones you wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. 5. Add one of your own at the end.

OMG, I'm so happy right now! Azzurrini is coming for the Olympics next year! I just booked two tickets for the Final...well, what else could I possibly do, I dont know which group they'd be in. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that they will make all the way to the final.
I also booked tickets for swimming. I'm supporting my fellow Wolverine--Michael Phelps to sweep golds in all events he competes in.

Now I must bow to Capello. The man brings championship to every team he's ever coached. Real Madrid has won La Liga yesterday. Congrats Real! Did I see Canna having an Italian flag wrapped around his neck in celebration? And Becks had an English flag while Robinho's got a Brazilian one. well, Becks finally got his first championship after his move to Real, and right before he moved to the States. I was disgusted by the sight of Beck's BFF Tom Cruise in the stands, and if I'm not mistaken, without Katie Holmes. However, I squeed over Nadal cheering in the stands.
I didnt know Nadal's a Real Madrid supporter--his uncle used to play for Barcelona! well, I guess if Davide Materazzi can be a Milanista, then everything is possible. Talking about Barcelona, while I'm happy for Real and Canna, it kinda broke my heart to see Zambrotta all disappointed over at Barca. Move to Milan, Zambro! Come back to Serie A at least! I want Canna do the same thing, but it doesnt seem very probable.
The Azzurrini was eliminated from the U21 European Championship. argh, the thing is the final four automatically qualify for the Olympics next year. Now with the elimination, the Azzurrini will still have to play in preliminaries to qualify. Geeez, I was gonna buy football tickets to the Olympics next year, but now I dont even know if Italy will be part of it, I'm not sure if I want to spend loads to get to watch, say, Serbia's match. And finally, rumor has it that Maldini, Nesta, Kaka, and possibly Gattuso are gonna have a get-together in Miami, and Sheva will probably join them. What does this tell us? 1. we didnt just make up Maldini/Nesta, Kaka/Sheva based on nothing *winks*..now if Pirlo'd join them, that'd be perfect. 2. Does this mean Sheva's return to Milan is in sight? Come back to Milan, Sheva. Nobody will love you like the boys love you at Milan!

Got this game from Ruby: Name three of your crushes, one is mainstream, a.k.a cool; the second is not quite mainstream but understandable, a.k.a, the niche; the third is just totally completely wrong.

So I got hit by a motherfucking drunk driving piece of shit couple of weeks ago, and for two weeks, I walked around with black eyes and a broken nose. And the funny thing about the legal system in this country is that, before they procceed to send people to court, if two involving parties agree to settle the matter out of court, namely, me getting paid off, it'd end there. HA! I dont want his money and his poor ass cant afford to pay me off. Pay your dues in jail, asshole!

I woke up with a huge hangover this morning. Its better now but still...not a good idea to go bar hopping when you have to work the next day.
I need to get married FAST! If boss is a man of his word, he will pay for my wedding in Santorini, Greece if I get married by 2009.
Our new hire was saying she's getting married in September. Boss turned to me and asked when my wedding is going to happen. I made up a time and said 2009. He burst out laughing, "if you can get married by 2009, I will pay for your wedding in Santorini, Greece." HA! I'm gonna go find a husband within the next two years or elope with my Sandro and he's gonna regret he ever said this!

So I got an email from Sal today, titled "Milan or Liverpool". WHAT! Salvatore, WHAT KIND OF ITALIAN ARE YOU???!!! Are you an Inter fan or something? cant believe this!
I just bought a Milan No. 13 Nesta jersey for the CL final. Its funny I walked into a nail salon wearing that jersey, and the manicure lady thought I'm an athlete. XDDD I was thinking of giving this jersey to Christian, who's from Liverpool and a hardcore Liverpool fan. Then I figured the chances are he's not gonna put my prescious Sandro shirt to good use. Then I'd end up in jail for chopping his hands off because he abused my Nesta jersey...
ah, its only Monday? The week just started? That sucks!

I'm so snowed under work lately its not even funny. I didnt realize I havent updated my journal for 5 weeks until niloo88 sent me a nudge.
I'm excited and nervous for tonight. Milan will defend the honor of Italian football at Old Trafford. The last time an Italian team played Manchester United, it was downright humiliating. What goes around comes around, right? Man U had better prepare for its deadliest defeat tonight. *glomps Gila's head for luck*
Speaking of head, did Kaka fall victim of Oddo's hair dresser fantasy? Kaka did something to his hair couple of weeks ago and its just... very unflattering. All the Azzurri members at Milan must have known Oddo's skills already and avoid his scissors come near their heads at all costs. Poor Massimo then turned to non-Azzurri teammates. Watch out, Ronaldo, your newly grown hair is in danger!
I accidentally stumbled upon an old article from August 2002 the other day, titled Cannavaro: No. 13 jersey (at Inter) has nothing to do with Nesta. Canna was asked about his choice of No. 13 jersey after he joined Inter--13 is Nesta's number and Inter prepared No. 13 jersey for Sandro until the negotiation took a sharp turn and Sandro ended up at Milan. Some journalists were wondering why Canna took 13 instead of 17, his number at Parma. Canna's response: "my choice of 13 has nothing to do with Nesta. I like 17--both my wife and my daughter were born on the 17th. 13 is not bad, either. I was born on the 13th." What can I say, thats certainly covincing? That must have showed that there's nothing, absolutely nothing going on with Fabio and Sandro *winks*. Yep, that must have completely settled the doubts and rumors. *grins*

I dont know why, but I have this sudden urge to...ahem..Ibra lately. I've always liked him but recently he has become somehow irresistable. I love the fact that he irritates Sandro and brings out Sandro's diva side better than anybody else. I also love that Ibra and Matrix get along so well. You'd think a cocky Swede and a badass Italian would strangle each other to death, but nope, they're so chummy! I just found out Ibra's exactly half a month younger than me. For some reason I've always thought he's around 30...hehehehe
